A pineal e as hormonas
A pineal e a Magia
A pineal e o Chikung
a) Focar o olhar no centro da testa com os olhos fechados;
b) Focar o olhar no topo da cabeça com os olhos fechados e a língua no palato mole;
c) Focar um ponto à distância, mantendo o olhar fixo no ponto;

The Pineal gland is a pea size organ, about five centimetres in diameter and shaped like a pinecone (hence its name). It is located in the center of the brain, in the antero-superior space of the pituitary gland, anterior to the top of the nose and attached to the third ventricle of the brain. It exists in almost all vertebrates. The pineal gland is large in childhood and reduces in size at puberty.
The functions of the Pineal Gland
The functions of the pineal gland in humans include: regulating circadian rhythm, controlling sleep cycles, sexual maturity and psycho-emotional balance.
In birds and other animals, the pineal serves as a “navigation system”. In humans this function is being investigated, but if its magnetic functions are proven, it can explain the unconscious guidance system that human beings have.
The Pineal Gland and the hormones
The Pineal Gland is the production center of MELATONIN and SEROTONIN hormone. Melatonin regulates some of the activities in the human being, namely: the daily body rhythms related to the night/day cycles. It is released in the dark, during sleep. Is believed that it prevents the aging process, defending the body against free radicals; prevents jet lag; it is involved in seasonal affective disorders, coordinates fertility and allows human beings a deep and restful sleep pattern.
Melatonin, on the other hand is a very old hormone found in the animal kingdom. In reptiles and birds, the pineal gland is close to the skin and does not require interaction with the eyes to record the day/night cycles – this is where the notion of a “third eye” comes from. In these animals, this gland works like a clock. In mammals, however, the pineal is subject to the eyes and central nervous system. Here, light acts as a barrier to the production of melatonin.
Serotonin, one of the neurotransmitters, is produced in the intestines and in the pineal gland. In the pineal gland, serotonin is transformed into melatonin, is the only place in the body where this conversion takes place. The functions of serotonin include the control release of some hormones and the regulation of the circadian rhythm (night/day), sleep and appetite, also known as the “well-being” neurotransmitter. It has a profound effect on mood, anxiety and aggression, so it is augmented by many antidepressants such as Prozac.
The functions of the pineal gland can be affected by environmental stress, which can cause the body’s alertness to be compromised, as well as levels and temperature and hormonal functions. Environmental stress can translate into imbalances in the rhythm of light and dark, radiation, magnetic field, food imbalance, temperature changes, altitude rise and daily stress patterns.
The pineal gland has been implicated in several disorders such as: cancer, sexual dysfunction, hypertension, epilepsy, etc. This gland creates crystals around itself as age advances which will cause melatonin production to decrease. These crystals are made of APATITE – NATURAL CALCIUM phosphate, containing fluorine and chlorine, found in eruptive or metamorphic rocks and in BONE TISSUE. According to some authors as it is the case of the Psychiatrist Dr. Iso Jorge Teixeira, the fact that the pineal creates crystals around itself means that this organ is in involution. However, other authors, such as Dr. Sérgio Felipe de Oliveira (Clinical Director at the Pineal Mind Institute and AMESP’s CEO) believe that the pineal evolved from a photoreceptor organ to a neuroendocrine organ.
The Pineal Gland and Magic
This gland has been associated with magical powers since ancient times.
It has been mentioned for the first time by the Greek physician and philosopher Galen (130 BC – 210 AD).
Nostradamus, in his prophecies (1503-1566), alludes to the importance of this gland in modern times. He considers it as “The thinnest and tallest antenna of the central nervous system, our power station”. “It is a central manager of the body like the captain of a ship”.
It occupies the centre of gravity of the brain mass and morphologically, it presents itself as a vestige of some third eye to appear remotely in the men of the future.
Currently, some biologists argue that pineal gland cells share a common ancestor with retinal cells.
It is a kind of psychic radar, also called “pineal eye”, “sixth sense” or “pineal body”. For Hindus it is called “center of force”, and “shiva’s eye” for occultists, for being responsible for clairvoyance, the Rational scrying. It is really the “eye” through which humankind unites the outsider world and the inside world, the link between the macrocosm and the microcosm.
René Descartes (1596-1650), philosopher, mystic and founder of modern mathematics, referred to it as being the “seat of the Rational soul”, or “gland of knowledge, of knowing. Place where thoughts are formed”.
Writers like Madame Blavatsky and Alice Bailey, pioneers of the Theosophical movement, used pineal as the key element of their worldview. (Alice Bailey: “Treatise on White Magic”, Madame Blavatsky “The Secret Doctrine”.
The Pineal Gland and Chikung
The pineal gland can and must be worked through meditation. In meditation, the pineal gland is quite often associated with the state of ecstasy, it emits an extremely low and high constant signal sound. It can only be heard in the total absence of outside sounds and thoughts.
Meditation will recreate a calm and conductive environment for the pineal to be able to access different energy levels.
It can bridge the gap between the physical mind and higher states of consciousness. The pineal gland is responsible for bringing to Shen information that Hun has captured in the world of images.
There are several forms of meditation in Chikung that will allow you to work the pineal gland. From the ones I know, Kan&Li’s techniques are perhaps the strongest.
Kan (water) Li (fire) are techniques that can be worked upon by using one of the 3 burners ( groups of organs in the body) to work not only the pineal gland, but also to open the doors of consciousness.
These meditations are more intense and faster when done in complete darkness as they speed up the production and later conversion of melatonin to DMT. This chemical process occurs naturally in the brain in the absence of light.
But for those who don’t want such radical meditation techniques, there are several other ways of working the pineal gland, such as:
a)Focus the eyes at the middle of the forehead with your eyes closed;
b)Focus the eyes on the top of the head with the eyes closed and the tongue on the soft palate;
c)Focus on a point at the distance, and keeping the eyes fixed at the point;
d)Focus your attention on the center of the brain (crystal palace).
Note: These techniques must be supervised by a professional and must not be performed by people with mental illness or who have suffered profound physical or emotional trauma, reason why the techniques are not fully described.
Conclusion
The pineal is the gland that has aroused most interest not only in mystics but also in all those who want to improve their connection with more subtle energetic layers, as well as those who want to develop their intuition.
However, pineal’s working techniques, must always be accompanied by a professional who evaluates the evolution of those who perform them.
This area always generates a lot of curiosity and sometimes controversy, but we are all condemned to evolve and our connection to the source is always simplified, in my perspective, so that each one may become more conscious of itself and take responsibility for the application of the information received.
It is up to each teacher, instructor or coach to direct the apprentice to the best way to channel this information but it is always the apprentice’s responsibility to follow or not the information given.
We are free in our choices but we will always be prisoners of their consequences, so may the common sense prevail.
